Miscreants torched a bus in the city’s Mugda area on Wednesday morning during the second day of the three-day countrywide blockade enforced by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.
Police, however, detained a youth who set the bus on fire. His accomplices managed to flee.
Mugda Police Station OC Abdul Majid said around 10:55am, some youths got into the bus posing as passengers and suddenly poured petrol and set the bus on fire.
Fire Service control room officer Rafi Al Farruq said a bus belonging to Midline Paribahan was torched near Mugda Medical Hospital.
