Laila Kaniz Laky, Raipura upazila Parishad Chairman also wife of Much talked-about revenue official Matiur Rahman, has filed an appeal to a Dhaka court seeking the withdrawal of the travel ban imposed on her.
The appeal was filed at the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Mohammed Ash-Shams Joglul Hossain on Sunday (June 30).
The court fixed July 27 for the hearing on the application, Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) public prosecutor Mir Ahmed Ali Salam confirmed.
Earlier on June 24, the ACC filed an application in court seeking travel on Matiur Rahman, his wife Laila Kaniz, and son Ahmed Taufiqur Rahman. Later, the court granted the petition.
