Jatiya Party on Wednesday announced to join the next general election of Bangladesh as they hoped that the election would be free and fair.
JP secretary general Mujibul Haque Chunnu made the announcement in a press briefing at the party chairman’s office in Banani of the capital.
He said that they would field candidates in all 300 seats in the 12th parliamentary election.
‘We have heard that the election will be free and fair. Under these circumstances, on behalf of the party chairman, I am announcing that the Jatiya Party is participating in the election,’ he said.
‘Not with any alliance, we will contest in all 300 seats. I’m making the official announcement,’ he said.
