Last August 8, in the presence of a significant number of expatriates of the Sylhet section living in Australia, social organization named Jalalabad Association, Australia with 37 members has been formed by Humayer Chowdhury Rana as convener and Saiful Kazi Masum as member secretary and 7 people as joint conveners. It should be noted that although there are organizations based in different areas of Bangladesh in Australia, there was a long-standing expectation of establishing a unified social organization based on all Australia with all the residents of Sylhet division living in Australia.
