The interim government has cancelled the contractual appointment of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Managing Director (MD) MAN Siddique.
A gazette notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges on Monday.
The DMTCL, a fully state-owned company, is the implementing and operating agency of metro rail in the capital.
In another office order, Additional Secretary Mohammad Abdur Rouf, who has been serving as the additional project director of Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-5), has been given the current charge of the DMTCL MD.
