This year’s Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations results will be published across Bangladesh on November 26.

A notice issued by the Dhaka Education Board on Tuesday also said that the results would be published from the educational institutions and online at the same time at 11:00am.

The notice said that the result sheet can be downloaded from the Dhaka Education Board’s website (www.dhakaeducationboard.gov.bd) by clicking the result corner and entering the educational institution’s EIIN.

The result sheet can also be downloaded from the www.educationboardresults.gov.bd by entering roll and registration numbers.

Examinees can also get results through SMS by typing HSC, first three letters of the board’s name, roll and year (HSC Dha 123456 2023) and sending this to 16222.

The HSC examinations began simultaneously under eight general education boards in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Cumilla, Barishal, Dinajpur, Sylhet, Jashore and Mymensingh from August 17 in the country.

The examinations of the three boards were shifted from August 17 to August 27 due to flooding in five districts of the Chattogram division.

A total of 13,59,342 students have registered for the HSC and equivalent exams. Of them, 6,88,887 are boys and 6,70,455 are girls.

Like the pre-Covid-19 pandemic period, this year the examinations were held on all subjects and for three hours.

Some guardians alleged that the examinees of this year’s HSC and equivalent exams got almost two-month’s less time for preparation as they got admitted to the colleges in March 2022.

Before the Covid-19 pandemic usually every year the HSC and equivalent exams start in the first week of April.

In 2020, Secondary School Certificate and equivalent examinations were held as usual while an auto pass was granted to examinees of the Junior School Certificate and the Primary Education Completion Examinations, while the HSC and equivalent examinees were awarded grade points using the subject-mapping method.

In 2021, the SSC examinations were held in November and the HSC exams in December.

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, the examinations of 2022 took place in November that year.
