At least 3,929 new infections were recorded and 15 people died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8:00 am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The current positivity rate is 12.20 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14.68 percent.
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 28,887 and the mortality rate stands at 1.50 percent. Meanwhile, the total number of cases rose to 19,23,031, added the release.
A total of 32,207 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
At least 12,757 patients have recovered from Covid-19 during this period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 17,16,066 and the recovery rate at 89.24 percent, added the release.
Of the 15 deceased, 10 were males and five were females.
Of them, one was between 11-20, one was between 21-30, four were between 41-50, four were between 61-70, four were between 71-80 and one was between 81-90 years old, added the release.
