One person died from Covid-19 in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country now stands at 29,127 and the death rate stands at 1.49 percent.
At least 28 new infections from Covid-19 were recorded in the 24 hours. The total number of cases rose to 19,52,440 added the release.
The current positivity rate is 0.55 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 14 percent, said the press release.
A total of 5,098 samples were tested across the country during this period.
At least 546 patients recovered from Covid-19 during the period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 18,92,074 and the recovery rate at 96.61 percent, added the release.
