The High Court (HC) has published it verdict ordering Grameen Telecom Trust Chairman Dr Muhammad Yunus to deposit Tk50 crore to the National Board of Revenue (NBR) on behalf of the company, and file an appeal against the income tax claim for the tax years 2011 to 2013.
The 24-page verdict was published on Thursday (February 29).
Earlier, the High Court bench of Justice Muhammad Khurshid Alam Sarkar and Justice Sardar Md Rashed Jahangir passed the order on Monday (February 12).
In its verdict, the High Court said Dr Yunus has to pay the money according to the law.
